Spring 2024 Research Roundup
- Mendoza College of Business researcher Matt Bloom and colleagues released an article on the "transformative power of sabbaticals."
- Frank Germann and colleagues write about "Breaking the Glass Ceiling" through female mentors. The work recommends a simple adjustment to current training systems to give women entrepreneurs in developing countries a better shot at success.

- "Worldwide more than 771 million people...lack access to clean drinking water." ITAO Professor Alfonso Pedraza-Martinez explores this problem, and possible solutions, in his latest article.
- Casher Belinda and colleagues explored performance pressure and shame in a new article from the Journal of Applied Psychology.
- Tim Hubbard and Cole E. Short examine whether boards and the media recognize CEO quality in an article from the Academy of Management Journal.
- NDDCEL Faculty Director Jessica McManus Warnell, Faculty Fellow Kristen Collett-Schmitt and colleagues presented "Teaching for Belonging in Business Schools" at the 33rd Annual Association for Practical and Professional Ethics International Conference.
Faculty Fellow Drew Marcantonio edited a volume with Cambridge University Press titled Exploring Environmental Violence. Jessica McManus Warnell contributed a chapter. The book will be open-access for use as a resource for practitioners, scholars and students, and is forthcoming in June of 2024.
- Jessica McManus Warnell presented at Purdue University's "Degrowth and Sustainabilility: A Conference on Transformative Perspectives on Economic Growth Aligning with a Sustainable Environmental Future."
- Analytics PhD candidate Marialena Bevilacqua was featured on the Montreal AI Ethics Institute's blog. ITAO's Nick Berente was a co-author of the paper "The Return on Investment in AI Ethics: A Holistic Framework."

Environmental Violence: A Tool for Planetary Health, This work by Drew Marcantonio that received international recognition offers tools for crafting solutions to planetary challenges:
"The framework can be applied to map and measure causes and consequences of environmental violence and to help build just solutions that promote integral human ecology and flourishing."
Professor Marcantonio also published "Environmental Management: A Critical Tool for Environmental Peacebuilding" (New Security Beat)
